If you have never used transfer tape before or if you feel like you could use some help getting it right these tips and tricks are just for you.
What do you use to pull vinyl.
Hopefully i can help you figure out which vinyl vinyl to use for whatever project you have in mind.
If you pull up the excess vinyl first and then try to get the inside cavities your hand will stick to the carrier sheet.
Pull up each one gently.
Do you know how to use transfer tape for your craft projects.
Having removed the inside cavities of the letters the next thing is to remove your main piece of excess vinyl.
If it comes up easily there s too much moisture in the concrete to install a sheet vinyl floor.
This can harm the vinyl.
After 72 hours try to pull up the vinyl.
This process will be a little bit different for every cutting machine but just make sure to choose the settings for the particular type of heat transfer vinyl you are using flocked htv will have very different settings from smooth htv for instance.

Now simply grab the corner of the application tape carefully pull it away and your vinyl design is complete.
However there is a right and wrong way to do this as well.
For complicated designs with extra fine detail that you missed in your original weeding now is the time to go back and very gently cut away the waste vinyl.
Don t walk on your vinyl flooring after installation for at least 48 hours.
Make sure the plywood you use is underlayment grade.
Click lock vinyls can be walked on immediately however glue down planks should be given time to securely set.
Adjust cut settings and cut.
Where you encounter resistance from the glue use a scraper tool or even a kitchen spatula to get the strip loose.
Many people use mod podge for this step.
I generally do not recommend this because mod podge often will pull up paint with it when you remove the stencil so it s like the opposite of the bleeds.
When vacuuming do not use a vacuum with a beater bar or power rotary brush head as these may damage the vinyl.
Instead use a pull bar and hammer that instead.
If you remove vinyl flooring but the glue remains.
That is not a good way to get crisp lines when stenciling with vinyl.
Understanding how to clean vinyl flooring starts with knowing dry cleaning comes before wet.

If you re planning to do any wet cleaning vacuum and dust the vinyl tile flooring or vinyl plank flooring to remove any debris.
In some cases vinyl can be glued directly to old vinyl ceramic tile and wood floors but special fillers and glue down procedures are needed.
